Netflix's The Witcher is based on the novel and video game series of the same name. The streaming platform released the first season back in 2019. The show's astounding cast includes Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), and Freya Allan (Ciri).

The Witcher Season 2 Release Date

Season 1 of the fantasy drama show became so popular that everyone familiar with it is waiting for the release of Season 2. Well, after a frustratingly long wait, The Witcher Season 2 finally has a release date. Apparently, Netflix confirmed that the second season would finally drop on December 17, 2021.

Episode Titles

A release date for the second season isn't the only thing that Netflix revealed at WitcherCon. Interestingly, the show creators confirmed that similar to Season 1, the second season of The Witcher will also feature a total of 8 episodes.

Other than that, Netflix confirmed the titles for the first seven episodes of Season 2. In case you're wondering what the episode titles are; here you go:

  • Episode 1 - A Grain of Truth
  • Episode 2 - Kaer Morhen
  • Episode 3 - What Is Lost
  • Episode 4 - Redanian Intelligence
  • Episode 5 - Turn Your Back
  • Episode 6 - Dear Friend
  • Episode 7 - Voleth Meir

In this first episode, Geralt of Rivia will probably face Nivellen, who got cursed because of his past misdeeds. On the other hand, Kaer Morhen is an old keep where the Witchers used to train. So, it's safe to presume that we'll see Geralt training Ciri in Episode 2.

The title of the seventh episode suggests that we would finally see Voleth Meir appearing in the show. According to the creators, Voleth Meir is a mysterious character who preys on people's darkest and deepest desires.

The title for the eighth episode is 'Top Secret.' Meaning, the show creators want to keep the title for the last episode of The Witcher Season 2 a secret. Maybe giving away the title would have spoiled the ending for the fans, especially for those who've read the novels or played the Witcher games.
