At last year's Game Awards, The Wolf Among Us 2 made a surprise resurgence. The sequel to one of Telltale's best series was met with a strong fan reaction. This wasn't surprising given how long it has been in the works. Many were hoping we'd see something more from the game at this year's Keighleys; however, ahead of the event, the team confirmed that wouldn't be happening. See the announcement below.

Truly, this news shouldn't too big of a surprise. After all, last year's trailer was only confirmation that the game was moving into pre-production. It's going to take some time to get everything ready for a big reveal. That said, it certainly seemed plausible for them to drop some new footage at the event.

Plus, it's not like we won't have plenty of other great announcements and reveals to see later this evening. We already know we're getting a new fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Then there's going to be reveals for Among Us, Call of Duty: Balck Ops Cold War, Fortnite, and Fall Guys. Plus, new trailers for games like Nier: Replicant and Dragon Age. Oh, and there are the actual awards to be announced as well. And, of course, plenty of surprises we don't already know about. In short, it should be a fun night for everyone in the industry.

So, even though we aren't getting some gorgeous, new The Wolf Among Us 2 footage, I don't think fans will be disappointed for long. Plus, I'd always rather a dev team take their time to get things right. Better to wait a bit longer to get a better version of TWAU2.
