This morning, Nintendo released a new Nintendo Direct Mini that was packed full of reveals and news for upcoming Nintendo Switch titles. To begin the presentation, Nintendo revealed The World Ends With You: Final Remix, a remaster of Square Enix's Nintendo DS cult-classic RPG coming ten years after the original game released.

According to the developers, this version of The World Ends With You comes with updated HD visuals and a brand new epilogue that will "shed new light" on the game's already awesome story. As for controls, players will be able to use either the Joy-Cons or the touch screen to make their way throughout the game.

The original title on DS was a bit tough to control for me, being left-handed, so it is nice to see that the controls may become slightly more accommodating between versions. Personally, I thought The World Ends With You was one of the best titles on Nintendo DS, but the IP has gone seemingly unnoticed by Square Enix since its release for the most part. Hopefully, if The World Ends With You: Final Remix does well, the series' future prospects will be better.
