Theater Mechanicus Tier List - Which Tower You Should Upgrade on Each Stage
Here's our tier list for the towers of Theater Mechanicus
We’re still over a week away from the end of Theater Mechanicus in Genshin Impact, and after playing through the stages of this Inazuma iteration, we’ve made a tier list of the most useful towers you should use for easy victories.

Theater Mechanicus – Towers tier list
During the first Theater Mechanicus event, I personally found the Tandem Mines to be pretty overpowered. This was mainly thanks to how you could permanently upgrade the Tandem Mine Mechanicus in the event menu, before starting stages.
However, in this new version, upgrades reset after each run, and you upgrade the towers with the Wondrous Sticks you pick during stages. This changes the dynamic completely, and mines are way less interesting now. However, some towers such as the Elecro Mechanicus are incredibly useful, here’s the tier list I made.
- S – Furious Discharge (Electro tower)
- A – Rippling Reflections (Hydro tower)
- B – Inferno (Pyro tower), Glacial Bloom (Cryo tower), Charity
- C – Tandem Mine, Binding
- ? – Arcanum, Crack Shot, Banishment
To be honest, rather than a D tier for the Arcanum, Crack Shot, and Banishment, I’ve put an interrogation mark instead as I never had to use them in the first place. Crack Shot deals Physical DMG, but there doesn’t seem to be any situation where you’d prefer that over Elemental DMG.
Furious Discharge is incredibly useful in every stage. You should set as many of them as possible, and upgrade them as fast as possible. Except on Stages where no Sticks related to the tower will show up. Be sure to double-check that when starting a stage.
Which Wondrous Sticks and Fortune Sticks you should prioritize for upgrades
When upgrading Furious Discharge, you should prioritize the upgrade that adds an additional target hit (Fortune Stick 44 Jolt), the detection range upgrade (Fortune Stick 18 Blitz), and the one that allows enables the imprison feature (Fortune Stick 45 Vengeance). After that, keep increasing its Elemental Mastery and ATK.
As for the Hydro Tower Rippling Reflection, it works incredibly well in tandem with Furious Discharge, so you should set both types if the stages will feature Sticks for them. You should try getting the Mist Bubble ability for it to imprison enemies (Fortune Stick 27 Upsurge).
Last but not least, remember to pick as many Ominous sticks as possible when starting a stage during the first waves. The only negative effect you can get is either the destruction of a random tower or the ATK level decrease. You won’t be affected by the ATK decrease at all if you haven’t leveled any of the towers yet anyways.
Genshin Impact is currently holding the Yoimiya banner, and Theater Mecanicus will end on August 25. Meanwhile, We should hear news about the 2.1 Livestream soon, which will introduce detail for The Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara, and Sangonomiya Kokomi.
