Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Details Boss Rush Mode Featuring Shirtless Sephiroth

Looks like we’re totally going there. Spin-off rhythm game Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy got some new details this weekend, including a three-minute trailer of new gameplay footage.

The game will feature a boss rush mode, called “Chaos Tower Mode,” in which they must plow their way through a score of boss battles. One such boss of the Seraph version of Sephiroth, who is looking far too adorable to pose any major threat, I might add. Blasting through Chaos Tower Mode may require a little extra help, so be sure to unlock all those super-adorable extra characters like Locke Cole and Seifer Almasy. Characters can be unlocked by collecting crystal fragments, obtained by hitting the right rhythm combos in the game’s levels.

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy releases in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS on February 16. Check out the new gameplay footage after the jump!
