It was confirmed today that the Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States of America, will be America's leader in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

Technically, this news also confirms the America will be a playable nation in the game, but that could already have been inferred because the United States of America has been represented in every Civilization game thus far.

America was represented by the George Washington, America's first President, in Sid Meier's Civilization V, so it is nice to see them change the game up and go with a different leader for America this time.

They also confirmed that America's unique units include the P-51 Mustang, an American plane from World War II, and the Rough Riders, which were a regiment of Calvary led by Theodore Roosevelt in the Spanish-American War. Lastly, they confirmed that America's unique building is a Film Studio. You can look at images of Theodore Roosevelt, the unique units, and the unique building below.

Sid Meier's Civilization VI launches on October 21 for PC, Mac and Linux.
