Nintendo Japan's October update for the 3DS will allow themes to be displayed on the Home Menu. The themes Nintendo showed off were Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing and a Famicom 3DS theme.

No word if North America and Europe will get the themes as well but hopefully we hear some good news soon.
