On the 1st of March, I reported that Third Editions’ second Kickstarter project was now available; fifteen days later, the project was successfully funded with a new book goal added if the campaign reached a specific amount of funds, and fourteen days later, that stretch goal was successfully funded. After a little over a month of funding, Third Edition's second Kickstarter campaign has ended.

This new Kickstarter campaign, Your Ultimate Gaming Library - Season 2 raised approximately $155,715.90 and was created to translate three of its already published works into the English language. For those of you who do not know, Third Editions is a small (yet dedicated) French book publisher known for producing specialty books delving into the creation, in-game universe, and lore of some of the most beloved video games ever released.

Thanks to 1,994 backers, the publishing house will now translate the following books: Dark Souls: Beyond The Grave (Volume 2: Bloodborne and Dark Souls III). The Legend of Final Fantasy VIIIThe Legend of Zelda: The History of a Legendary Saga (Volume 2: Breath of the Wild), and The Work of Taro Yoko: From Drakengard to NieR: Automata.

Dark Souls: Beyond the Grave – Volume 2 will pick up from where the first book left off and will dive deeper into the critically-acclaimed third entry in the Dark Souls series and FromSoft’s 2015 ARPG title Bloodborne.

Much like its predecessor, The Legend of Final Fantasy VIII will offer extensive detail as well as an in-depth analysis of the 1999 PlayStation 1 title Final Fantasy VIII.

The Legend of Zelda: The History of a Legendary Saga – Volume 2: Breath of the Wild will serve as a follow-up to the first volume and will focus entirely on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. By examining its incredible game design, world building, and will provide plenty of lore into the Zelda universe.

Lastly, The Work of Taro Yoko: From Drakengard to NieR: Automata is a book dedicated to the unique work of Taro Yoko and includes a foreword penned by the Japanese director himself, as well as a QnA between Mr. Yoko and the book’s author, Nicolas Turcev.

It is also worth noting, that those who were actively following the Kickstart page will notice that the final stretch goal was not reached. Despite that stretch goal not being made, Third Editions has stated that their goal is to "translate all of our books eventually." That being said, the four new books are currently being translated and while a release date has yet to be announced the Kickstart page has the books ready to go sometime this October. Until then, consider checking out the companies already translated works such as its book focusing on the BioShock trilogy.
