Alligator Loki Cosplay
Uploaded by kinkatopia on Instagram, the user can be seen holding a small alligator donning a gold, horned helmet, just like its on-screen inspiration. The user introduced followers to Hendrick, the alligator on show, whose mouth had been taped shut for its safety. The user assured their audience that the tape was not wrapped tightly nor was it damaging to Hendrick’s skin. Few cosplayers are fortunate enough to be friends with an alligator, which presumably made this cosplay a no-brainer.
Kinkatopia is a non-profit organization based in South Florida, established primarily as a sanctuary for kinkajous. Also known as honey bears, kinkajous are small mammals accustomed to a more tropical climate, and can be found in South and Central America. The organization houses around 14 kinkajous and has protected a number of animals in its longevity, saving them from poachers and trading.
Alligator Loki appeared in Episode 5 of Loki on Disney+, unveiling the mind-bending premise of variants within the multiverse. In addition to Alligator Lokl, Kid Loki, Boastful Loki and Classic Loki were all introduced as Loki variants. Kid Loki claimed to have killed Thor in his world, while Boastful Loki bragged about killing Captain America and Iron Man and claiming the six Infinity Stones. Classic Loki allowed a wonderful Richard E. Grant guest appearance to happen, with the variant revealing how he survived Thanos’ attack on the Statesman in Avengers: Infinity War.
Lastly, Alligator Loki was banished to the void by the Time Variance Authority for eating a neighbor’s cat. The variant also possesses enhanced intelligence, superhuman strength and fangs capable of piercing the bone of a Frost Giant.
