What an absolutely crazy week this has been for Microsoft and if you're an Xbox fan, I'm fairly certain you have been in your element. Following many leaks, Xbox finally announced its budget version of the next-generation console, and also its price. The Xbox Series S will be retailing at a very nice price of $299 that is also known as the “smallest Xbox ever.” Following suit came its big brother/sister, the Xbox Series X which will officially launch on November 10, 2020 at $499. Jumping in on all this exciting Xbox news is Xbox Pope who loves to use his concept designing talents on consoles especially the Xbox and lately, he has splashed his creative talents all over the new Xbox Series S in the way of some amazing Cyberpunk 2077 art.

For those of you who love this type of console art, you may have seen Pope's other creative endeavors that include his Fable design on the Xbox Series X that emits a more subtle and charming concept rather than his more outlandish and bold pieces or how about his Ghost of Tsushima design on the PlayStation 4 where we saw a beautiful black dragon art piece with the same design on the controller to match. It even included the red double triangle symbol on the front of the PS4 as well as on the directional buttons on the controller as well as gold L1 and R1 buttons. This time, however, Xbox Pope sticks to his bold and in your face design by marrying the colors found within the artwork for Cyberpunk 2077.

Using a bright yellow and blue, Pope covers the small yet perfectly formed Xbox Series S console, placing some of the familiar Cyberpunk 2077 circuit line throughout the design as well as implementing the games name on the side. Of course, not forgetting the Xbox Series S controller too that showcases the same design but with an exposed area around the left-hand side of the controller grip. Reading through some of the comments on Xbox Pope's Instagram account, some people really wanted him to cover that huge black circle which acts as a vent. Personally, I think the vent goes really well with the design here and covering it would just look strange. As always, Pope has done an incredible job of using his skills to also highlight the Series S design, whether some folk like it or not.

As you're probably aware by now, the Xbox Series S will feature a 512GB custom SSD drive to deliver a faster performance rate and also help reduce loading times. It will also have Smart Delivery and Quick Resume like the Series X. The X version will ship with an 8x Core @ 3.8 GHz (3.66 GHz w/ SMT) Custom Zen 2 CPU, and a 12 Teraflops, 52 CUs @ 1.825 GHz Custom RDNA 2 GPU. Its memory sits at 16 GB GDDR6 w/ 320mb bus with 10GB @ 560 GB/s, 6GB @ 336 GB/s memory bandwidth. In terms of storage, it has a 1 TB Custom NVME SSD with expandable storage for a 1 TB Expansion Card, as well as support for USB 3.2 External HDD.

To add to all this exciting news this week, we learned that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will feature as a launch game for Xbox Series X and S and also Assassin's Creed Valhalla will run at 4K/60FPS on the Xbox Series X but as yet, we are still waiting to see if the PS5 can match this. To end the gaming news, so far, Ubisoft revealed that they will drop the next-gen version of Watch Dogs Legion for Xbox Series X and S on the same day. We hope to see and learn a lot more at Ubisoft Foward today which goes live goes live at 9 PM CEST/12 PM PDT where they have promised the latest reveals, updates and also some surprises.
