Check out this amazing cosplayer as she slips inside the shoes of the Machine Hunter, Aloy.

Initially, it looked like 2021’s gaming year was pretty stacked with the likes of Horizon Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarok barging in to warm our souls as the weather cooled. Unfortunately, and obvious to many, both games have been given the cold shoulder with HFW being pushed back until February 18, 2021.

Thankfully, we have plenty to keep us occupied until then (have you looked at your backlog lately?) and if it means that ultimately we will get a more polished title with fewer bugs, we can ride out the remainder of the year with ease whilst praying COVID plays its part.

To keep us company until we eventually get our grubby mitts on the long-awaited Horizon Forbidden West, cosplayer opal_inkcosplay comes in with a stunning Aloy outfit that would brighten the darkest of times.

"I fought my way past an army while you cowered in this cave, do you really think you can stop me?!" - Aloy

You may recognise opal_inkcosplay otherwise known as Abi. One of her many talents is the ability to slip inside the persona of many gaming characters that includes her infamous Atreus cosplay from God of War. Not only does Abi have the skill to make any character her own, but she also does so with incredible passion and knowledge.

Hot on the heels of winning Best Costume at MCMComicCon in Birmingham, Abi shares on social media her award-winning cosplay of Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn.

It’s obvious Abi has put countless hours into this particular costume, making sure every detail stands out including the rich material used. You can also see that she is holding Aloy’s Hunter’s bow which I’m sure took hours if not days to painstakingly perfect.

That's not all. Abi is also a part of 'Project Spores', a fan-based group of The Last of Us enthusiasts who have put together a TLOU film that delves deep into the game’s unique characters as well as exploring elements of their life’s away from what players witnessed in TLOU2.

Make sure to check Abi out on Twitter as well as keeping up to date on all things Project Spores right here.
