CCP has released a new trailer today that gives a very interesting, human angle on their massive economic space game EVE Online.
The trailer, which ticks in at just under four minutes, shows several different in-game factions discussing battle tactics and calling out actions using the game’s lingo. It’s rather candid and contains some vulgar language, but it’s fun to get inside the player’s heads and hear the excitement as they play.
Considering how intricate the game is, often times being called a spreadsheet simulator, and the ridiculous storylines that spawn from the games emergent gameplay, it’s nice seeing some real action and excitement that makes me feel like it’s a game that I could actually get into. Checkout the trailer below to see for yourself. EVE Online is available on PC for $19.99 with a recurring $15 a month subscription required.
