This is What God of War’s Kratos (and His Dog) Used to Look Like Before He Was Kratos

We’re all pretty familiar with God of War‘s burly protagonist Kratos, but he didn’t always look like he does now.

During the “Inside the Dev Studio” panel at PlayStation Experience Game Director Cory Barlog shown how he used to look like before his final form was determined.

Barlog explained that in the early sketches, some of which even even pre-date his joining the team, at some point Kratos had a dog, and even a kid on his back. Closer to the final version his tattoo was blue.
