As if we needed something else to cry about here's Joel and Sarah from The Last of Us together again in an emotional fan art piece.
No one can forget that moment where Joel and Sarah clung to each other when Sarah, Joel's twelve-year-old daughter, fought for her life after getting shot by a soldier in a dramatic show-down at the beginning of The Last of Us.
It's one of the most heart-wrenching scenes in video game history and something that Joel carries with him throughout the 2013 post-apocalyptic title. Thankfully, although begrudgingly at the beginning, Joel finds Ellie where his heart starts to heal from the loss of Sarah and the two develop a strong father/daughter relationship.
I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone how Joel met his fate in The Last of Us Part 2 nor do we need to rehash it but in memory of the gruff and complex father and friend to many, one fan has designed a stunning piece of art showcasing Joel and Sarah reuniting again.
We Meet Again At Last
Peng Lian, an Illustrator from Beijing, China, has crafted a beautiful yet emotional image of Joel and Sarah finally meeting again. Posted on ArtStation, Lian writes "Joel finally holds his Sarah in heaven. What a reunion!"
Naturally, Sarah hasn't aged a bit and still holds her child-like innocence as she looks up to her father Joel in almost disbelief. As they both sit staring at each other on the lush grass surrounded by a hue of light, you can see Joel placing a hand on Sarah's shoulder as he gentle smiles at her. Who is cutting onions??

In case you have forgotten, Tess got bit in The Last of Us and then surrenders herself to the numerous soldiers in hot pursuit.
Although we don’t have a firm release date for HBO’s The Last of Us, we do know that it should showcase next year at some stage.
