Today, 11 bit studios released This War of Mine: Anniversary Edition, a free update that adds a slab of new content. To accompany the release, the developer/publisher also dished out a new trailer.

The expansion/update according to 11 bit studios is a thank you to all the players, journalists, and content creators that have supported the game since its launch in November 2014.

Here's everything the update brings, as well as an overview:

- New non-playable civilians

- New locations

- A whole new ending

- New achievement

- Some additional fixes

The wind whistles through holes in the roof and pushes rain through windows shattered by the blasts. Wood for the stove ran out a week ago and it's getting colder and colder with every passing day. Marko's cough got so bad that he's now afraid to go out at night looking for supplies. We still have some provisions, but we can't cook without wood, and when we eat all the canned food, we'll have to subsist on whatever raw scraps we've left. On the radio we hear that the ceasefire was signed, but apparently the snipers didn't get the memo.

We don't care what this war is about. We don't know when it will end. We just want to survive.

The Anniversary Edition is available as a free update for all owners of the original game. You can check out the new trailer below:
