While last week's Rock Band 3 DLC was good (it always is), this week, I am especially thrilled.  This Tuesday, we are treated to five songs from four different artists, from classic 70's protest rock to a little bit of Metal.  No artist track packs this week, but I am okay with that as the single selection is awesome.

This week sees the Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 getting:

  • Buffalo Springfield - "For What It's Worth"*
  • R.E.M. - "Man on the Moon"
  • System of a Down - "Aerials"*
  • System of a Down - "Hypnotize"
  • The Vapors - "Turning Japanese"*

As usual, each song will cost $1.99 in real currency, or 160 Microsoft Spacebucks.  The tracks marked with an * will be upgradable to Pro-Guitar/Pro-Bass for an additional $0.99 (or 80 Microsoft points).

It has been a while since I have wanted to buy all the tracks the Rock Band store offers in a given week, but this should do nicely.  "Man on the Moon" is one of the great party tracks where everyone can sing along, and the Buffalo Springfield track is a classic you know, even if you might not recognize it by the title.  Another week, another solid offering from one of the best examples of DLC done correctly.
