One of the best things about the way Harmonix handles the DLC for the Rock Band games is that they don't discriminate against any type of music.  Because of this, it makes each week an anticipation of what is yet to come for more downloadable music.  This week is no different as both Papa Roach and Breaking Benjamin add new tracks to the the Rock Band store.

Coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii on November 1st are

  • Breaking Benjamin - "Sooner or Later"
  • Breaking Benjamin - "Breath"*
  • Breaking Benjamin - "Until the End"
  • Papa Roach - "Forever"
As always, each song will cost $1.99 in real currency, or 160 Microsoft Spacebucks if bought individually.  The three Breaking Benjamin songs will also be sold as a pack, the "Breaking Benjamin Pack 02," for $5.49, or 440 Microsoft points.  The tracks marked with an * will be upgradable to Pro-Guitar/Pro-Bass for an additional $0.99 (or 80 Microsoft points).
Also worth noting this week is the surprise that Powerman 5000 are still releasing new music, with a song, Show Me What You Got, from their 2009 album Somewhere on the Other Side of Nowhere coming to the Rock Band Network.  The Network sometimes gets some really pleasant surprises, so if you're a fan of anthemic, sci-fi influenced rock, then check out the Rock Band Network.  As for me, I'm holding out hope for a release of the entire Tonight the Stars Revolt album.
