Those Who Reamin is an indie thriller title that'll be available for basically every platform on the market right now. The game will put players in a desolate ghost town where they'll have to uncover the town's secrets and "stay in the light" to survive. Like many other horror and thriller games before it, there will be a whole slew of creatures players will have to avoid if they hope to live.

The upcoming title has received its first gameplay trailer showing off a bunch of different environments that look as though they borrow striking similarities to iconic horror films and games that have come before it. In the trailer, we see what looks to be a slaughterhouse, a hotel of sorts, a church, and more. Being a horror fan, I personally drew comparisons to movies like The Shining, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, as well as memorable horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. You can check out the trailer for yourself down below.

While I'm a big horror movie fan, games based within that genre have never fully resonated with me due to mechanical tropes and cheap scares. I'll admit though that Those Who Remain looks promising. I'll be curious to see what else the developer shows us before the game launches, whenever that may be.

Those Who Remain is coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
