The world got a first look at Camel 101's upcoming psychological horror game Those Who Remain last fall. At the time, the game looked like it had some potential and delivered a haunting atmosphere. Now, the team has partnered up with the Wired Productions studio to bring their game to a wider audience. The game will be making an appearance at Gamescom this month and Camel 101 has put out a quick trailer to show off their progress beforehand. Check it out below.

Those Who Remain seems to take inspiration from first-person games like P.T. and psychological mysteries like Silent Hill. The game takes place in a small town named Dormont where the protagonist has found himself after a bad night involving too much to drink and an affair he regrets. Unfortunately, while the town seems quiet at first, there is something sinister lurking under the surface.

It will be interesting to see how this game turns out. I'm a big Silent Hill fan, so I'm always interested to see developers attempting to find new takes on the classic. That said, Camel 101's past games have been somewhat of a mixed bag. That doesn't mean this one can't be their first big break; however, it does keep my excitement in check, to some degree. Hopefully, by pairing up with Wired Productions, the team can turn the corner and put out a quality product. They have certainly nailed the atmosphere-building in their first few trailers.

Those Who Remain will be "out soon" on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
