THQ is bringing the highly anticipated live action film The Last Airbender to gamers. Available for the Wii system and Nintendo DS/Nintendo DSi systems in June 2010, the game will feature unique features that bring to life the film’s thrilling action and immerse players in the world of bending.

“The Last Airbender video game boasts original gameplay elements that create an experience never previously seen before on the Wii system,” said Doug Clemmer, Executive Vice President of THQ’s Kids, Family & Casual Games. “The artistic in-game graphics and dynamic combat were designed to fully engage players, while providing an exhilarating and interactive gaming moment.”

The game is told through the eyes of Zuko, exiled prince of the Fire Nation, on his quest to capture the Avatar Aang. Zuko intends to use every means necessary to recapture his father's honor. Gamers can choose to play as Aang, Zuko and the Blue Spirit – and participate in epic battles, hand-to-hand combat and complete various intense challenges throughout the game. The interactive, action adventure game, will allow players to learn how to manipulate air and fire, creating destructive forces such as Air Vortexes, Tornadoes, Fire Balls, and Fire Bombs, to take down enemies and progress through the game in order to fulfill their destiny. The Last Airbender film, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, hits theatres this Summer but gamers can get their hands on all the action in June. Check it out!
