THQ Has a Little Bonus for Saints Row 3 Players, But Only If They Have a PS3

It sure would be neat to get a free copy of Saints Row 2 when you buy Saints Row 3, wouldn’t it? Well, good news: You can! Only if you own a PlayStation 3, though. And you have to live in the U.S., Mexico or Canada. Sorry, rest of the world and Xbox 360 owners …

Sony and THQ are giving away free downloadable copies of Saints Row 2 to anyone who purchases a copy of the new game. You’ll get a code redeemable in the PlayStation store, saving you $20 if you were planning on purchasing it anyway and a free game if you weren’t. The offer’s only good through Feb. 13 of next year. We can only speculate why the codes expire just before Valentine’s Day.

My theory is that THQ and Sony don’t want to be sued by girlfriends who claim a free downloadable game stole their boyfriends. But it’ll probably happen, anyway.
