A nasty rumor spurted up back in May that publisher THQ would be dropping Valhalla Games' debut project Devil's Third because the game wasn't deemed profitable enough. This is now confirmed to be fact, as Valhalla has announced that they have acquired the copyright and distribution rights to the title.

Valhalla has also revealed that they plan for Devil's Third to become a "blockbuster franchise" and eventually spawn mobile, comic book, novel, animation and even film adaptations. That sounds very optimistic, but so little has been seen of Devil's Third that it's kind of hard to really get excited about any of that. Not to mention that the THQ split doesn't exactly seem like good news.

At this point, I really don't care who is publishing it if we can't at least see a game-play trailer.
