THQ Seeking a Financial Partner for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online

It’s not a mystery that Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online is near the top of the list of my most anticipated games of the upcoming few years, but the MMORPG set in the grim darkness of the far future seems to have a few obstacles on its course.

Yesterday THQ had its Q3 2012 quartely results conference (and it wasn’t pretty by any means) and CEO Brian Farrel was quite clear in stating that further financial assistance will be needed:

While the game promises to be a high quality offering, because of the large financial commitment and associated risks, we are being realistic about our resources and we are actively seeking a partner for this compelling MMORPG.

I sure hope that they’ll find one. The Warhammer 40,000 franchise really deserves a great MMORPG. Dark Millenium Online is still scheduled for 2014; all we can do is hope.
