Why Ratchet & Clank is the Most Important PS5 Game

South America’s Thunder Predator is a Peru-based organisation. Before Acer Predator sponsored the team, it used to be called Thunder Awaken.

Founded in 2016, it is primarily known for Dota 2 but has competed in League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as well. Their Dota 2 rosters have slowly climbed their way from the Tier 3 to the Tier 1 scene.

How did Thunder Predator rise?

With the revamped rules for the Dota Pro Circuit, South America got a dedicated slot in the Majors and Minors. In the Regional Leagues that determine who gets the slot, Beastcoast took the 1st position and Thunder Predator the 2nd. However, Beastcoast withdrew due to the pandemic allowing Thunder Predator to rise to the occasion.

Now in the Major, Thunder Predator started off strong with 2-0 wins against Alliance and Team Aster. They drew their games against OB Esports x Neon and Vici Gaming, but pulled off some great display of skilled Dota 2 against Quincy Crew, PSG LGD, and Team Liquid, scoring 2-0 wins against them as well.

Thanks to their surprising performances in The Singapore Major so far, they’ve quickly earned a reputation within the international community for their playstyle.

Before this Major, they had also qualified for The Chongqing Major back in January 2019 but unfortunately came 9th-12th in position.
