Yesterday, Tokyo-based developer Area 34 released 11 new minutes of gameplay footage of its military-themed turn-based tactics game inspired by the classic Advanced Wars series:

For those that don’t know: Tiny Metal, according to Area 34, is the “revival of Japanese Arcade Wargaming.” In it you play as Artemisian Lieutenant, Nathan Greis, who is in charge of defeating villainous nation of Zipang. Like in Advanced Wars, gameplay consists of you commanding an army in turn-based combat where you will have to tactically navigate different terrain and plan carefully your attack positions and defenses.

The game's single player campaign is said to be around 8-10 hours. Further, there is said to be varied factions, units (13 to be exact), and several friends to make along the way,

Tiny Metal is slated to release sometime this October for PS4, PS, Linux, and Nintendo Switch. Below, you can check out the new gameplay footage:
