Titanfall Could Have Been a Single Player Stealth Game; Single Player Campaign Footage Coming Next Week

Today Respawn Entertainment held a panel at PAX East, and quite a few interesting details were revealed about Titanfall before it was Titanfall.

Not only we learn that Respawn started with what literally was just a circle of a bunch of people sitting on chairs, with no computers and no internet, but we also got a glimpse on what could have been but didn’t happen.

Before coming up with the final concept for the game, Respawn prototyped four different games. Between them there were a single player stealth game, and a quest-driven single player experience. The team was just trying to figure out what to do.

It also appears that we’re going to catch a glimpse on some of that single player, as panel host and moderator Geoff Keighley promised that footage from a single player campaign that was being created for the game will be included as part of his Final Hours of Titanfall app that will be released across multiple platforms next week.
