While Respawn's Vince Zampella was reminiscing on the studio's tenth anniversary with IGN, he says the studio doesn't have a new Titanfall game in development.

“There’s nothing currently in development,” says Zampella. “But it’s always there. You see the little bits of stuff coming back [through the lore in Apex Legends]. At some point, I would personally like to see some kind of resurrection there. We’ll see if I can make that happen.”

When asked if we would get any new announcements from the studio during June's EA Play, Zampella says the studio's Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond may make an appearance. With the studio celebrating its tenth anniversary, Zampella says "When you look backwards at [2019], it’s crazier than it was at the time. When you see it all as a package, it’s like ‘Holy shit!’ but at the time we were just doing what we do. We’ve got a bunch of people that love to make games and love what they do and they did that.”

The last Titanfall title to release was Titanfall 2 in 2016 to rave reviews including DualShockers with a 9.0. Sadly, the high review scores didn't reflect in sales due to it releasing around the same time as Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

They have good reasons to celebrate last year with Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releasing. During EA's fiscal earnings call in January, CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that season three of Apex Legends was bigger than season two with more users active daily users. As for Jedi Fallen Order, EA recently announced it has sold over 10 million copies since its launch last November. Additionally, Wilson said Jedi Fallen Order is the start of a new franchise for EA.

While we wait for a new Titanfall title, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order are available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
