Respawn Entertainment Co-Founder Vince Zampella shed more light on Titanfall's exclusivity, on the possibility of a sequel and more as part of an interview on the Lobby videocast on GameSpot.

Zampella explained that when they started the company exclusivity wasn't the goal. They haven't even seen the next generation consoles yet. As they started to get into development, they were told about the new platforms and talked to Microsoft first, because they had a good relationship with them. Looking at what they wanted to make and at what what Microsoft was delivering, and since they were "able to work with them to fashion what that was," the option was appealing to Respawn, so they went for it in order to make the best game possible.

Zampella also added that despite that relationship that idea to create a bundle to support the Xbox One was something that came up "much later, pretty recently."

While Zampella doesn't think he can say that Titanfall is gonna be a franchise until the first game is successful, he also mentioned that it's something he'd like to continue developing on, adding that a sequel is a possibility, but not answering on whether it'll be exclusive (despite the fact that it was explicitly asked).

I could see a sequel working, absolutely.

We also learned that the game has been in development for two and a half years and that the goal for the Xbox 360 version is for it to be as close as possible to the other two.

Zampella continued by explaining how he feels about upcoming reviews. He mentioned that what the people think is important, and reviews kind of set the tone of what people might think, so they're both relevant.

I'd like to say that I won't be crushed if it gets bad reviews as long as people like it, but I might be.

The hype for Titanfall definitely seems to be at its peak, and we're only a week away from the game's release in North America on March 11th. My body is definitely ready. What about yours?
