Titanfall’s Beta Signups “Huge;” Multiple Problems Already Solved, But Microsoft’s Servers Struggle (UPDATED)

on February 14, 2014 5:01 PM

The Titanfall beta is well underway, and according to Respawn Entertainment Co-Founder Vince Zampella the initiative is being definitely successful with a “huge” scale of Signups.

We’re trying buddy! The scale of the signups is huge! We had some problems, but we are on track again!

Zampella also mentioned that logic dictated the choice for a closed beta as opposed to an open testing, and multiple problems have already been solved and squashed.

Logic decided closed was better. We have already found and fixed multiple problems with a slow roll-out.

An unspecified bug is also causing Microsoft’s servers to struggle, unable to allocate new breathing room to the game. The problem is currently being worked on by the publisher with no ETA on a solution at the moment of this writing.

Update: Zampella just mentioned that the servers are going back up, while they’re not yet at full capacity.

Zampella also reported that some selected beta testers received codes for the wrong platform, and those that did should contact support in order to get their code replaced.
