The best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is getting the vinyl treatment! Konami, Nickelodeon, and iam8bit have teamed up to release a vinyl edition of the classic SNES game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time. It was available in two color variants - a "pizzasplosive" picture disc and "big apple" green. Unfortunately, as of the time of this writing, the picture disc variant is listed as "sold out." Be careful if you go hunting for it on discogs, and be quick if you still want to nab the green one.

The "flippable" jacket features the iconic pizza and bomb power-ups from the original game, and they help maintain that 16 bit aesthetic. I guess the idea here is to make your room look as much like a retro video game as it will sound. Check it out below.

Even without the picture disc, this is a really cool release. Turtles in Time is one of the best beat-em-ups of all time, but it has never had an official physical release of its excellent soundtrack. Plus, this jacket design (by Aled Lewis) is pretty inventive and interesting. iam8bit has a great track record with these vinyl pressings, so here's to adding another one to the collection. Pre-orders are available for $29.99, and the vinyl is expected to ship Q4 2019.
