Toby Fox Announces He Contributed to the OST of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Sample Included

Undertale's Toby Fox made one of the battle themes in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Toby Fox announced on his Twitter account on November 1 that he contributed to Pokemon Sword and Shield‘s development: he made a track for the game.

The track in question is a battle theme, and a sample of it was shared with the members of the Pokemon Secret Club, which is accessible to players who pre-ordered Sword and Shield in Japan. However, you can easily find some samples on social media:

Toby Fox also participated in the OST of Little Town Hero, another Game Freak game. which launched on Switch last October. He made part of the OST, and the rest was handled by Hitomi Sato. You can read more about that and check out the track here.

As such, Toby Fox’s participation in Pokemon Sword and Shield isn’t that much of a surprise, and the deal probably happened at around the same time the one for Little Town Hero did.

You can catch the latest trailer for Pokemon Sword and Shield here, summarizing every new function, game systems, and characters of the game.

As a related note, AEW wrestler Kenny Omega cosplayed Sans for Halloween.

A few days ago, Nintendo released an iconic commercial for Pokemon Sword and Shield, retracing all the previous main Pokemon games in their original graphics. Game Freak also announced we won’t see another Pokemon Let’s Go game anytime soon, and discussed how developing two versions of the same game works.

Pokemon Sword and Shield launches on Switch worldwide on November 15.
