Toby Fox’s Cult Classic Undertale Coming to Nintendo Switch
Filled with determination, Undertale will be coming to Nintendo Switch according to a recent announcement following the Nintendo Direct.
It seems like a match made in heaven: Nintendo Switch and the cult classic indie game Undertale. And while the game began porting to other platforms — even handhelds — many Nintendo fans waited with baited breaths for the anticipated announcement. Well, breathe deep friends: Undertale is coming to Nintendo Switch.
News comes by way of Nintendo following the Nintendo Direct. While little specifically is mentioned in the announcement, the publisher does confirm that it will be heading to Nintendo Switch and “launch details will arrive at a later date.” However, for the often rabid fans of both products, simply that small of an announcement will be enough.
For those out of the loop, the solo-developer project Undertale is a GameMaker Studio project that came out of the woodwork and took the gaming world by storm in 2015. With little to offer visually, the game is jam-packed with amazing music, witty humor, and dynamic gameplay concepts that haven’t been seen inside the gaming sphere — features that better remain a mystery for those who haven’t played the game yet.
Undertale survived two years as a PC exclusive before announcing it would be coming to both the PS4 and PlayStation Vita in Summer 2018. DualShockers reviewed the game then, awarding it a 10 out of 10 for reasons better experienced than explained.
As mentioned above, Undertale will be coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in the future; those who want to enjoy the game now can do so on PC, PS4, and PlayStation Vita.
