• Today Nintendo announced Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is making its way to the Nintendo Switch early next year. The original released exclusively on the Wii U in December of 2015 and I have waited so long for this day to come. The Atlus developed title is a mashup between the Shin Megami Tensei series and Fire Emblem. In Encore returning players can expect a new song, as well as beloved non-playable characters to be a part of the battles this time around. There will also new additions including story elements as well as other features that have yet to be announced.

This is the one game I've been dying to get ported on the Nintendo Switch. As a Wii U exclusive and a niche title on top of it, the original did not a lot of attention. A lot of Persona fans have been dying to get games in the franchise like Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 on Switch. While this isn't particularly what you're looking for it is definitely worth your time. For Fire Emblem fans the game features a story heavily influenced by the franchise and includes popular characters like Chrom from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Tokyo Mirage Sessions is personally one of my favorite games of all time. We found the title to be a superb and fascinating take on the JRPG genre. If you are a fan of JRPGs please do not sleep on this game.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore releases January 17, 2020, and will be available to pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop later today.
