With so many characters in the episode and the changes made in the future owing to different timelines, you might be looking for an explanation of what happened in the first episode. Here's a brief recap of Tokyo Revengers season 2, episode 1.

Kazutora Saves The Day

Kazutora saves the day

Chifuyu is dead, and now it's time for Takemichi's death. But as Kisaki is about to shoot him, the lights go off, and we see Takemichi out in the open as he gains consciousness. He witnesses a guy near him with long hair who he mistakes for Baji, but he turns out to be Kazutora, who just got released from prison. He starts thrashing Takemichi to make him realize what kind of evil organization they have made out of Toman. Kazutora gets emotional and tells Takemichi that he doesn't care about his life and that he came to save Chifuyu.

He tells him (Takemichi) about his conversation with Chifuyu and how the latter wanted to restore Toman back to its old days. While Chifuyu was working to save Toman, Takemichi became so involved with power that the latter couldn't rely on him. Kazutora also updates him on Draken, who's currently on death row, and Mikey, whose whereabouts are unknown. Kazutora says that Toman has surely grown, but it has become an evil organization involved in drugs, casinos, prostitution, money laundering, and all kinds of illegal affairs.

Shocking Truths About Mikey

Upon being asked what changed Toman so much, Kazutora replied that it all happened because Mikey changed — which came as a shock to Takemichi. Kazutora explains that Mikey doesn't trust the old members of Toman anymore, so he is ordering their deaths, and as a consequence, Pah-chin and Pah-yan are dead while Mitsuya is missing. Kazutora blames the change in Mikey on Kisaki and Black Dragon's money. But he then reveals that he has found their hidden bank account and how he plans to cut off their money supply.

Meeting With Naoto

Meeting With Naoto

Kazutora tells Takemichi that Chifuyu was able to corner Kisaki as he had proof of the death of a police officer's sister (Hina), which he kept hidden for some time. In the meantime, they reach an alleyway, and Kazutora tells Takemichi that someone is waiting for him. As Takemichi approaches, he finds Naoto, and he feels delighted to meet him. But to everyone's surprise, he arrests Takemichi.

Naoto shows him the video made by Chifuyu — in which Takemichi orders Akkun to kill someone — which he received from Kisaki. Takemichi wasn't aware of the target, who, unfortunately, turned out to be Hinata. Naoto then shows him another video where Takemichi realizes the target is Hina. Naoto reveals that although these videos confirmed Kisaki's involvement in the murder, Chifuyu hid them to save Takemichi. The truth breaks him down, and Takemichi blames himself for everyone's death and considers him useless. While Takemichi wants to give up on going back in time and changing the future, Naoto hugs him and shows trust in him.

Time To Change The Future Again

Time to change the future again

Naoto reveals that despite becoming one of the top members of Toman, Hina's murder couldn't be averted, which also hints that Kisaki is obsessed with her. The time has come when Takemichi needs to be put into the detention center (making their meetings difficult), so they decide to shake hands, which sends Takemichi in the past. Naoto tells him to find out what happened between him and Kisaki. As he goes back in time, he finds himself going bowling with Hinata. There, he meets Hakkai Shibe, the vice president of the Second Division of Toman.
