April Fool's Day is finally over (at least in Japan), so this news is quite real. The Tenjiku arc of Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers will finally be adapted into season 3 of the successful delinquent anime, and an official visual featuring the arc's main antagonist Izana Kurokawa is now available on the official website (along with a new teaser trailer).

Since the Tokyo Revengers manga is already over, Our Huzaifa made a list of the best Tokyo Revengers story arcs, with the Tenjiku arc taking the coveted number one spot. It is not a surprising position considering that this arc, which is the longest in the manga series at 66 chapters out of a total of 278 chapters, explores core events leading up to the future that Takemichi is trying to change, and introduces the powerful main antagonist Tetta Kisaki, who proves to be a formidable opponent for Takemichi despite his time-traveling abilities.

The Tenjiku arc introduces the criminal gang of the same name, led by Izana Kurokawa and Tetta Kiseki. They want nothing more than to take revenge on the Tokyo Maji Gang (Toman), led by the deuteragonist Mikey, and also the gang in which Takemichi currently resides. Tenjiku is also a historical Chinese name for India, as referenced in the historical Chinese novel Journey to the West, from which Izana drew inspiration to build his delinquent kingdom.

The previous season of Tokyo Revengers concluded the events of the Black Dragon arc, and the last episode had foreshadowing moments that hinted at the eventual end of the series. The arc ends with Takemichi deciding not to time travel again until he becomes the leader of Toman alongside Mikey, and realizes that stopping Mikey in addition to Kisaki's dismissal from Toman are key factors in the negative trajectory of history.

With the adaptation of the Tenjiku arc, more than half of the Tokyo Revengers story will be animated, leaving only the Bonten arc and the final arc. The final arc is actually made up of two arcs, the Three Deities arc and the Kanto Manji arc, the latter of which will see Takemichi form his own gang and take on Mikey to put an end to the cycle of multiversal suffering.
