Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Gameplay Shown in Jack Black Video
Do a kickflip!
Yesterday, Tony Hawk texted those who signed up to his text message pool to announce that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is a real thing and will be announced “soon”. Shortly after that text Tony Hawk appeared in an interview with Geoff Keighley as part of the Summer Games Festival in which we saw the trailer revealed. But what about Jack Black you ask? Well, he’s played it.
Around 5 months ago, Jack Black visited Tony Hawk in one of his YouTube videos in which they played Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. Yesterday, a new video shows Jack Black and Tony Hawk reunited once again, but this time to play the new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2.
The video does indicate that this took place before the coronavirus pandemic, and Tony Hawk brings a sample of the remastered games for Jack Black to play. The meeting starts around about the 2:00 mark and you can watch it below.
We see them playing in the famous Warehouse level which we have learned is a pre-order bonus, not the level itself, but you get access to a demo pre-release that’s set in the warehouse. We get to see how the game actually plays too from the video and to be honest, it looks like the classic style has remained intact, while the graphics have been massively improved.
The sample Jack Black’s playing in the video doesn’t really show much else other than popping tricks and having a good time in the warehouse, but it gives us a good indication as to what to expect when it does eventually launch later this year. When it does launch, it’ll be heading to Xbox One, PS4, and PC for the Epic Games Store.
We have a handy guide to explain what we know about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 so far, including what content has been confirmed as well as pre-orders.
