Update: Tony Hawk just posted the official key art for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2. It'll be launching on September 4, 2020.

Additionally, the Hawk man will be speaking to Geoff Keighley soon.

Tony Hawk, the professional skateboarder just official confirmed that a new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game is on the way...by texting people.

Received today, News Editor Michael Ruiz received a text message from Tony Hawk himself confirming the arrival of a new game this year. Last year, the skater sent out his mobile number to the world so they could text him.

The text sent out seems to indicate that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 are coming back as remasters. According to the Hawk, yes, the Hawk, I'm calling him that, the game looks awesome and an official announcement is to take place soon. It'll include original maps, original soundtracks, original skaters, and new features. However, no further details are known. Here's the text from Michael's phone.

The existence of a new Tony Hawk game has been heavily rumored for a while now. The Death Set gave away a bit of a tease on Facebook earlier this year, additionally, Lizzie Armanto spoke with The Nine Club a while back and mentioned she's in it. More recently, Jason Dill revealed that it's launching in 2020.

So yeah, there you have it. More details should be revealed soon, but going by speculation, I assume the two games will be compiled into one package with updated graphics. Mechanics wise, I'm hoping they somewhat remain the same as the classic games for that arcade feel, however, imagine if the games introduce a Skate style system.
