It's 2017 folks, which can only mean one thing: 2016 is over. That being said, today, Valve announced the top-grossing PC games on Steam for the calendar year.

Specific numbers were not divulged, however, a list of over a 100 games was provided and separated via four categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

You can check out the full list yourself here, however, if you just want to know the best selling games (the Platinum ones) you can see the list below:

  • XCOM 2
  • Civilization VI
  • No Man's Sky
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Fallout 4
  • Rocket League
  • Tom Clancy'sThe Divison
  • Dark Souls III
  • Total War: Warhammer
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Dota 2
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

None of these Platinum entries are particularly surprising. I'm personally glad to see XCOM 2 and Civilization VI have found a great deal of success, especially the aforementioned, which was one of of my favorite games this year.

In other news, Steam's annual Winter Sale is set to end tomorrow, January 2nd, at 10 AM PST, so if you have been meaning to check that out -- you should get on that pretty soon.
