Total War: Rome II Gets a Space Marine’s Voice, New Audio Featurette

on July 17, 2013 12:15 PM

The Creative Assembly announced today that Mark Strong (voice actor of Titus in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and many other  popular characters) will play the role of Consul Silanus in the campaign of Total War: Rome II. In addition to that the game’s soundtracl will be performed by the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra and directed by Dark Knight and I am Legend conductor Jeff Atmajian.

The developer also released a lovely featurette focused on the audio of the game, on the recording of the soundtrack and on Strong’s performance, and also showing quite a bit of footage from the campaign.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels that the voice of an Ultramarine captain is perfectly appropriate for a Roman consul, but of course if you’re not familiar with Warhammer 40,000 you wouldn’t know. You can enjoy the video below.
