Total War: Rome II To Get First Patch this Friday to Address Problems, Weekly Patches to Follow

Total War: Rome II‘s launch has been trampled by some elephants in the form of a whole bunch of performance issues, crashes and hardware incompatibilities, but The Creative Assembly is bringing out the cohorts in order to put out the fires.

The developer announced today that the first patch will hit the game this Friday, and will address known instances of crashes due to hardware conflicts and deploy several other performance fixes.

Following the first patch, The Creative Assembly intends to issue new ones on a weekly basis, at least for the immediate future.

To be honest the game hasn’t treated me too badly so far, while I’m playing it for the review, but I’m hoping the patch will grant me more than the 15 fps i get in some of the most crowded situations…
