Today, The Creative Assembly released the Bretonnia free DLC for Total War: Warhammer, and they announced that this "brings the time in the Old World to a close."

According to the press release, the focus on the studio is now on the sequel of the game (which will be the second of a trilogy), and development "has been underway for some time."

The announcement also promises "new lands to discover and new races." While no details were given, if I was a betting man, I would put my monthly salary on Ulthuan and the struggle between High Elves and Dark Elves.

Brand Director Rob Bartholomew also mention that thanks to strong DLC sales, the studio can put more resources in free content releases, and can confidently up their plans for the next two games.

Those who prefer historical settings to demons and dragons shouldn't feel left out, as the studio is also working on a "major triple-A title" set in an historical era that they have not visited yet. Even here, no details have been given, but guessing is probably going to be a lot harder.
