Following the train of Japanese titles being ported to the Nintendo Switch, developer Area-ZERO has revealed that their title -- Touhou Sky Arena: Gensukyou Kuusen Hime Matsuri Climax -- would be making its way to the new portable home console. The news comes by way of Area-ZERO's Twitter account that made the announcement earlier this morning:

While the announcement is definitely appreciated, little else is known about the title -- specifically when fans can expect a release date.

The underlying game in the series, Touhou Sky Arena, originally launched as a PC exclusive title in March 2011 and is a fairly-unique flying-based fighting game. Even still, the game has clear inspirations from other bullet-hell games.

Meanwhile, Touhou Sky Arena: Gensukyou Kuusen Hime Matsuri Climax released exclusively in the East earlier this year.

This, of course, isn't the only Touhou title coming out on Nintendo Switch. In fact, Touhou Kabuto V: Burst Battle just released on Nintendo Switch earlier this month. For those out of the loop, the Touhou series isn't so much a "series" as it is a platform for independent developers to create games.

As mentioned above, Touhou Sky Arena will be coming to Nintendo Switch with no specific release date, or whether it will be coming West. Check out the trailer below (thanks to YouTuber Arnots2 - PS Gameplay & Trailers):
