While the Ouya has received a lot of flak for its games selection, TowerFall has been universally praised and regarded as its “killer app,” and now that its window of six-months exclusivity to the system is nearing its end, the game is making its move onto other platforms.
TowerFall: Ascension is heading over to the PC and PS4 in 2014, but while the game’s multiplayer may still be maddeningly addicting, a tweet from the game’s developer, Matt Thorson, confirmed that online multiplayer will not be coming to the game’s new port. While it may still be remaining as a local multiplayer-only game, and you will still need 4 controllers/computers to join in on the fun, Thorson also mentioned that TowerFall: Ascension will feature “substantially more 1P and 2P content.”
While no official release date has been confirmed yet, stay tuned for more details on TowerFall: Ascension as it heads into release for 2014.
@aegies no online! There is substantially more 1p and 2p content, but you'll need 4 controllers for 4p versus still
