Toy Fair Photo Shows New Sonic Title Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U in 2015

Sonic The Hedgehog has been around for decades and has always managed to greet us on virtually every console generation for the last 20 years, and with a photo leaked from a recent toy fair and expo, it looks like the current-gen of PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U will be no different.

Coming from the Nuremberg International Toy Fair in Germany among dozens of toys, figurines, and other merchandise from the Sonic franchise, a photo came through from the expo of a sign detailing various recent (and upcoming) Sonic titles across all systems. The first titles mentioned in the sign, Sonic Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, were both released last year, while the last part of the sign mentions “New 2015 title TBA,” with logos on the bottom for Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One and indicates we’ll be seeing Sonic on the next-gen consoles.

Previously, it was reported that SEGA and Nintendo signed an agreement in May 2013 that the next three Sonic titles would be brought over exclusively to Wii U and 3DS, and while Sonic Lost World and the most recent Mario & Sonic titles are part of that agreement, we have yet to see what the final game in that exclusive agreement will be.

You can check out the photo from the event below, and stay tuned to hear more about the possibilities of Sonic jumping on over to the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U.
