A new campaign on Fig recently got way to showcase 12 East Games LLC's indie project, Trackless. The title contains a hybrid of puzzle/exploration elements that will all be experienced in the first person.

Gameplay will center around manipulating items in this futuristic world and talking to stylishly dressed NPCs. Your task is to earn enough money to enter new areas and eventually locate an ancient monolith known only as 'the Object.'

The rough and almost comic-booky graphics paint an intriguing world; All the while the atmospheric music from MAKEUP AND VANITY SET draws you in. First person puzzlers have always been fascinating to me, so to see one that is going to take cues from Zork and Shadowgate definitely stands out. Anything that moves the genre past physics based brainteasers is a good sign.

12 East Games has currently surpassed the halfway point of its $20,000 USD goal in only a few days. You can back until Nov 17th and like most Fig campaigns, you can also invest in the game as well. If the campaign is successful, Trackless will release on PC, Mac and Linux in the first quarter of 2017.
