Today Ubisoft started the Gamescom dances by releasing a new trailer for Ubisoft Montréal and Spectrevision’s upcoming game Transference.

Even better news is that the trailer introduces a brand new demo for PS4 and PlayStation VR, that has already been released on the European PlayStation Store and will presumably be released on the North American one later today.

The demo is actually a prequel of the game, that lays the foundation for the events that will follow when the mysterious title will launch. It’s compatible with PlayStation VR, but you don’t need the headset to pay it, as it can be enjoyed on your usual flat screen as well.

Additionally, Ubisoft announced the release date for the final game, and it’s sooner than you might think. Transference is now slated to arrive next month on September 18.

The player is tasked with exploring the mind of a troubled test subject affected by post-traumatic stess disorder. Solving puzzles will help to repair his memories and piecing together his stories by experiencing different perspectives.

You can check out the trailer below. If you want to see more, you can check out the video released at E3.

Transference will release on September 18 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
