With Transformers: Age of Extinction ready to roll out into theaters this coming June, its video game adaptation is surely close behind it as Activision unveiled when we can play as Optimus and the rest of the Autobots this year.

Acctivision announced that Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will launch on June 24th, 2014 across PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, and 3DS to coincide along the release of the latest Transformers film, which hits theaters three days later on June 27th, 2014. All versions of the title are currently in development by Texas-based studio Edge of Reality, except for the 3DS version being developed by WayForward Technologies.

Originally leaked by Amazon UK back in February, Rise of the Dark Spark was officially unveiled at this year's American International Toy Fair in a preview event by Hasbro, with the upcoming game meant to act as a "complement" to the latest Transformers film, rather than act as a direct adaptation of the movie.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark releases on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, and 3DS on June 24th, 2014.
