Transformers! When you hear that you might think back to the classic comics, cartoons, the recent blockbuster, or you might think of some lackluster video games that have come out under the franchise. That is all about to change if High Moon Studios is right about Transformers: War for Cyberton. The game aims to succeed, where others like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have failed, with instant transformation at the tap of a button combined with the real-time unreal game engine! Players will fight for Cyberton with one of three Transformers characters per mission and online friends can join up for online multiplayer co-op!
Transformers: War for Cyberton, developed by High Moon Studios for publisher Activision, will release May 2010 and shows true promise of being a serious gamers’ game. With any luck this will not be just another Transformers money maker of little substance. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and there will even be a Nintendo DS version created. Don’t expect the same game experience on a handheld though unless you’re talking about ModNation: Racers. Stay tuned to DualShockers for more information as its released about this title and others.
