Tribes of Midgard has several items and Runes that can be found as you progress. But one such Rune is the Golden Egg which has become a bit of a mystery for players as they are confused about how to use it or get one in the first place.

Tribes of Midgard is a new game where players must defend their village from the invasion of the Giants from Ragnarok. The game is set in a world full of dark creatures, hidden gods, and items like the Golden Egg Rune.

You can gather up to 10 players to form a Viking tribe living in a village that houses the Seed of Yggdrasil — the last line of defense that protects the Gods from the other Realms.

What Is The Golden Egg in Tribes of Midgard?

Before we begin, I must clarify that we are still figuring out the uses of the Golden Egg in the game but we shall try to jot down everything we know about this Rune.

So far this Rune is just like others in the game. One way to use the Golden Egg in Tribes of Midgard is to sell it for 200 Souls.

For those who are unaware, Souls is the in-game currency that can be used for pretty much everything such as upgrading weapons, armor, fortification of the village, and other upgrades.

So if you are looking for a way to gain more Souls, trading your Golden Egg should help. Apart from that, we haven't found any other uses for this Rune. If we happen to find any, we shall update the article accordingly.

There is another thing that we would like to clarify. There are some claims that having a Golden Egg Rune can increase the chance for Roosters of Ragnarok to spawn. And by defeating the Rooster you can gain event fragments. However, it has been observed that the Roosters can spawn regardless of the fact that the player has a Golden Egg or not. So at the moment, this event seems to hold no relation with the egg.

How To Get Golden Egg Rune in Tribes of Midgard

So far we are aware of two methods on how to get Golden Eggs:

1. Defeat Enemies

To get a Golden Egg, just keep on slaying the enemies around you. Just like other items, the Golden Egg is also dropped by them upon defeat.

2. In Exchange For Golden Horns

You can offer Golden Horns in the village's Golden Altar to get Golden Egg in return. First of all, you will have to earn Golden Horns by killing enemies like the Giants and Raid bosses (as they drop Golden Horns most of the time). You can also complete in-game Achievement Challenges and level up to obtain this item and use it for the exchange.

Apart from that, there is no other way to farm it or get it from a specific enemy or NPC as it appears randomly. But if we find anything, this article shall be updated accordingly.
