Trigun is a popular Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhiro Nightow. With three volumes in total, Trigun got released in Monthly Shonen Captain from 1995 to 1997. Later, Shonan Gahosha took over the series and ran by the name Trigun Maximum. As for the anime adaptation of the Trigun, it ran for a total of twenty-six episodes from April 1998 to September 1998. In 2010, the franchise also released a movie by the name Trigun: Badlands Rumble.

Here's a little premise to the story if you don't know what the famous anime is about. Trigun follows the life of Vash the Stampede, a famous gunman with a bounty of $$60 billion on his head (yes, that's a double dollar.) In order to get the huge bounty, bounty hunters from far lands try to kill Vash. While the story continues, it explores Vash's past.

A New Trigun Anime Announced For Crunchyroll

The official Twitter account of Trigan and studio Orange, along with the official website of Trigun, just confirmed the upcoming anime. Scheduled for a release in 2023, the new anime by the name Trigun Stampede is currently in production. Studio Orange is animating the new series, also known for its other works like Black Bullet, Majestic Prince, Beastars, and many great projects. The show will release the new episodes on Crunchyroll.

To announce the news of Trigan Stampede, the makers released a new PV. It shows the main protagonist of the show, Vash the Stampede, sitting on a rock while looking at the city far below. Here's the new visual you need to look at.

Right now, not much information is out regarding the new anime. But the creators confirmed that the new announcements would be made at the Anime Expo 2022. It will take place in Los Angeles, USA, in July 2022. Yasuhiro Nightow, along with the producers of the project, will themself be available to speak about the upcoming anime at the event.
